The Xenitis Group was founded in 2002, with Xenitis Infotech, One of the
leading computer component manufacturer in India, which extended its operations
to computer component manufacturing 2004 onwards. Amar PC, Infotech’s flagship brand,
stormed the Indian market to become a household staple. Xenitis Infotech is also an
original equipment manufacturer (OEM), supplying components to leading brands operating
in India and abroad.
In 2004, Xenitis Infotech set up it’s computer component manufacturing plant at
Chinsurah in West Bengal’s Hooghly district. The plant has been manufacturing components
like cases/ cabinets, keyboards, mouse and power-supplies/ smps ever since
The Infotech division’s business success is owing largely to two factors: buying major
components at production cost and keeping the overhead and manpower costs minimum.
Consequently, Amar PC, the first branded personal computer manufactured in Eastern India,
along with Apna PC in North India and Amchi PC in Maharashtra, set a new trend in
the PC manufacturing segment by bringing quality PCs within the reach of the middle and
lower income groups. By catering to consumer class for whom buying PCs was no less than
a dream, Infotech’s PCs penetrated rural and semi-urban areas.
With their magic sub 10K pricing, Amar PC, Appall PC and Amchi PC forced MNCs monopolizing
the Indian hardware market to scuttle their product prices substantially.
Xenitis Infotech is also an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), supplying components
to leading brands operating in Indian Subcontinent.
